2010 GCVA JUNIORS SUMMER SAND VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE and Competitive Beach Teams

The 2010 GCVA Summer Sand Volleyball Leagues will be starting in May at the League City Sports Plex. The GCVA Leagues run 6 weeks with teams playing back to back matches (4 Games) each league Night. This year we are offering:

Thursday Junior Queen Of the Beach (QOB) League QOB is where players switch partners every match, a winner (Queen of the Beach) is determined by tracking games won and points from each match. The top players always move up and play with top players from the other court. At the end the Queen of the beach will be the player who has the most win's/points at the end of the league. Players are separated and re grouped after each league night based on that nights results. www.gcva.net/JuniorThursday.htm

Friday Junior Sand Doubles League: Players play with the same partner each league night (Substitutions are allowed). Times are from 6:30 to 9:30 each Friday. Each team play two matches (4 Games) each league night. Each match lasts app. 40 minutes. Teams are separated by either age or experience. www.gcva.net/JuniorFriday.htm

Sunday Junior Sand League: On Sundays we offer two leagues. Juniors Doubles Beginner and Advanced and Junior Triples Beginner and Advanced. The Triples run's from 4:30 to 5:50 and the Doubles run's from 6:30 to 8:30 Times will vary depending on how many teams register in each division.

Last year all our GCVA Junior Sand Volleyball Leagues were full to capacity and we have had lots of inquiries from players from all the local clubs. If you want to get in one of our Sand Leagues please register ASAP. More Information and registration forms are www.gcva.net/JuniorLeague.htm

GCVA Junior Beach Teams This year the GCVA will offer competitive beach teams. The Beach Team training will run from May through July. The cost is only $195 per player and includes player Tank top/Backpack/Outdoor Ball.

Coach Travis (one of the top sand players in TX) will be heading up the GCVA competitive beach teams along with other Outdoor Coaches. The GCVA is the largest Outdoor Volleyball association on the entire Gulf Coast.

This is our 18th year of producing beach volleyball events. Some of the best beach/indoor players in the world have played in GCVA events. We are one of the most respected Beach/Sand volleyball organizations in the United States working closely with USA Volleyball, the AAU, AVP and other national organizations.

Our Goal is to train young players the proper way to play sand volleyball and to help those players to eventually become NCAA Scholarship players. If YOUR junior player is thinking about a Sand Volleyball Scholarship you can trust that you will get the some of the best training in Texas right here at GCVA. You can bet when the NCAA colleges start recruiting and filling upcoming spots on their College teams that they the GCVA will be the first (and probably last) organization in the area that they will call.
