West Bay Winter Trout
I’m sure you have heard mention of the first kid born in 2010. Big deal! I earned the title of cathin’ the first Winter Trout of 2010 (at least with Bay Bound Guide Service). Like us, Trout tend to fatten up over the holidays then pretend to make a resolution to exercise so they can lose that winter coat. NOT! Actually my friend Fred George and owner of Bay Bound Guide service delivered on a promise to take my son David and myself out fishing before David ships off to serve our country. I caught my just under 5lb trout with a plastic lure while drifting across West Bay in Galveston. Though I only caught a couple of fish Saturday, I did get to spend the day fishing with my son before he heads off the basic training on January 11th. Thanks a lot Fred!
