Z-Krewe – Galveston
“In the beginning George said let there be Mardi Gras and it was good.
Then Z Krewe was formed and it was Z best.” This was the inscription
engraved on a plaque that was presented to the manager of Trumpets on
May 4, 1994, Z Krewe’s inaugural meeting and official birthday. “George”
is a reference to George Mitchell who revived the Mardi Gras! Galveston

Firefighters Childrens Parade Krewe - Galveston
The 4th Annual Galveston Firefighters Children’s Parade will be held on
February 3, 2008 at 2:00PM. This year's theme is "Pirates Of The Island"
The tradition of firefighters helping children dates back to the
beginning of the profession. Listen in as Firefighter and parade

Krewe of Barkus and Meoux – Galveston
Sunday, February 3, 2008 pets, as well as their owners, will be decked
out in Mardi Gras garb. Come on out and decide for yourself whether the
pets or their people are having the most fun.

Krewe of Knights of Momus - Galveston
Between rows of floats, great music, food and fun, the Krewe of the
Knights of Momus unveiled their floats for the 2008 Mardi Gras season.
One of many social events, the den party was actually the first time
that many of the krewe members have seen this year’s floats. Extravagant
and elaborate are just a couple of the adjectives that could be used to
describe these professionally decorated vehicles. Listen in with Talk of the Bay |

Krewe of Gambrinus- Galveston
The Krewe of Gambrinus began, in 1989, to promote and encourage tourism
activities in Galveston through the Mardi Gras season, and to contribute
to charities committed to the support of children. The Krewe has grown
over the past 19 years to include members from Galveston, Harris,
Brazoria and Fort Bend counties, and a few from more distant areas of

Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire – Galveston
In 2001, members of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church decided they wanted
to join in on the fun of Mardi Gras. So in the spirit of fun and frolic
the congregation started the Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire.
Now 6 years later, this krewe has a full

Krewe Babalu - Galveston
Now that the 2008 Mardi Gras Season has officially opened with the
Epephany Party, it’s time to “Let the Good Times Roll”. Once again, the
Krewe Babalu will host several parties, a ball, a balcony party and
participate in all the Galveston Mardi Gras Parades.

Krewe du Vroom - Galveston
The Krewe du Vroom may be the ‘new kid on the block’ but they have
certainly carved out a unique space in the Galveston Mardi Gras. Now in
it’s second year, founder Mike Hightower, is readying his krewe for
their very own parade. If you like motorcycles, this krewe is for you!
