Geocaching – Clear Lake
Recently, Eddie and I met a family of Geocachers, Steve Berenzweig, who
works for NASA, and his two young children Sydney and Jacob. Now Steve
is really into this sport and has a streak going of more than 418 days,
straight, of looking for and finding caches. Come and join us as Steve
takes Eddie and me on our first cache hunt and tells Talk of the Bay some of the interesting things about this high tech scavenger hunt. |

Mermaids
Rendezvous with Fashion, Thursday March 13 – Clear Lake
So what do mermaids, fashions and Lakewood Yacht Club all have in
common? They are all part of the Nassau Bay Garden Club fundraiser. This
luncheon, silent auction and entertaining style show will be held at the
Lakewood Yacht Club on Thursday, March 13. Starting at 10:30am with a
little socializing this event will put Spring into your day. Listen in

League Bay Area – Bay Area
The Houston Symphony League Bay Area is a volunteer group focused on
music education for the Clear Creek Independent School District.
Over 250 men and women volunteer their time to promote musical education
and opportunities for the Bay Area community. Listen in as Pat Brackett,

The Women Who Wine of Texas – Clear Lake Area
Wanting to pull together their strengths for the benefit of the
community, a group of bay area women have formed a fundraising group
called The Women Who Wine of Texas.

Nasa, Clear Creek, Friendswood Metro Go Texas Committee – Clear Lake
This metro rodeo committee was started over 40 years ago by Constable
Bill Bailey and it is still going strong. Named the #1 committee within
the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, this committee is the top
fundraiser for the Show.
Five events are hosted by this committee, as fundraisers, for the
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. These scholarships

Mystic
Krewe du Carnaval November 2, 2007
In a moment of Mardi Gras madness, co-founders Kathleen Courville and
Manny Alaniz approached twelve of their friends, with the idea of
starting up a Mardi Gras krewe, in Kemah. Now one year later, the krewe
is 200 strong and ready to “Let the Good Times Roll”.

Pasadena Rodeo BBQ Cookoff - September 28 - 30, 2007

Yeehaw!!!. The Lite Bunch Cooking Team, the Bay Area's own cooking team,
has kicked off the 2007 - 2008 rodeo season. Starting with the Pasadena
Rodeo BBQ Cook off, the Lite Bunch is one of over 100 teams
participating, this season Dave Robertson, founder of the Lite Bunch
Team tells us how things got started, more than 30 years ago, with a
bunch of friends from high school who liked to cook chili. Here's a part
