The Texas Mariners Cruising Association (TMCA) – Galveston Bay Area
Founded in 1979 the purpose of TMCA is to have fun on land and water. They accomplish this by promoting and hosting cruising, throughout the year, to destinations on Galveston Bay and along the Gulf Coast Waters.
Organized cruises may range anywhere from a day cruise, to a weekend trip or up to two weeks in Mexico.
In addition to cruises these fun loving folks organize numerous social events, everything ranging from water gun fights along the bayous to the annual Commodore’s Ball. Safety and education are also an important element of TMCA. Monthly meetings feature educational and entertaining programs, while occasional courses are sponsored on a variety of boating topics. TMCA members include families, couples, and singles - a vital group of people sharing a common interest. And although most members do own a boat, it is not a requirement.
