Talk of the Bay

July 11 – The Band for Brothers & Sisters – Pasadena

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent, was born on December 13, in Detroit, Michigan. He originally gained fame as the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes and has since had an amazing career in rock-n-roll. He has also made appearances in movies, TV, talk shows and was even a regular contributor to the Waco Tribune-Herald. He is also widely noted for his conservative political views and his ardent defense of hunting, conservation, and gun

ownership rights.

In the late 1970’s Nugent produced the popular "Stranglehold," "Dog Eat Dog" and "Cat Scratch Fever." It was during these years that Nugent truly emerged as a guitar hero to rock fans across the world.

On Sunday, July 11, Ted Nugent came to the Pasadena Fairgrounds to support the Bay Area Builders Association (BABA) with their Bands for Brothers & Sisters fundraiser. Now, 62 years old, Nugent performed like he was 26. He was loud and abrasive, politically incorrect and he made no bones about how he feels about his country, his freedoms and his sincere love and appreciation for those that serve in the military. He was Ted Nugent in full force and the audience loved him.

Listen in as Talk of the Bay visits with Dan Wallrath the Founder/President of BABA. And enjoy the photos of Ted, the concert and the folks from BABA. For more information on BABA please visit www.BABA.org. check out the photos...

Editor’s Note:  Dan has been nominated to be CNN Hero of the Year. If he is selected the BABA organization will receive a large sum of money; which Dan says will pay for two more homes to be given to our wounded veterans. Stay tuned….we’ll keep you posted as Dan goes through the semi-finals.
