May 14 thru 16 – Strawberry Festival – Pasadena
The 2010 Pasadena Strawberry Festival carried on the tradition of great fun; lots of things to see and do and one gigantic strawberry shortcake.
In spite of the bad weather challenges, the show went on. Cook off teams brought in sawdust and plywood rebuilding the floors of their cook off tents.
Mud volleyball players truly got their fill of mud; literally from head to toe. And the main concert stage was moved to the covered arena where Kevin Fowler blew away concert goers with his 2 hour performance.
Dozens of vendors with colorful booths lined the convention center where you could find everything from chocolate covered strawberries to Egyptian linens. Food vendors supplied all the traditional fair eats along the midway as fire-eaters, zippy pets and alligators vied for the attention of the fairgoers.
