Talk of the Bay

June 10 – Love is in the Air – Friendswood

Sitting in the heart of Friendswood is Hope Village, a haven for villagers that need some extra help with day to day living.  Hope Village is a quiet, caring environment that hosts a wonderful little Tea Room and Gift Shop. The Tea Room menu is filled with a great selection of sandwiches, soup, quiche and yummy desserts and the Gift Shop carries a lot of crafts, hand made by the residents. Some of the more popular items are

sand crosses and bird feeders; all colorful and ready for anyone’s home or backyard.

On June 10, Hope Village will be hosting their annual fashion show and luncheon, one of the more popular events in the area.  Several of the villagers will be modeling wonderful vintage era attire while area business folks will don the more modern fashions from Jill’s Fashions and the Clotheshorse.

Listen in as Heather Fischer, tells Talk of the Bay about the Village, what it has to offer the community and about their upcoming event. For luncheon tickets please visit www.Hope-Village.org.

Editor’s Note: This is a favorite event for Eddie and I, filled with fun times and great people. We’ll see you there! check out the fun from last year...
