May 15 – Bay Day – Kemah
So where can you find alligators, snakes, crabs and pretty cheerleaders all in the same spot? At Bay Day, hosted by the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF). On Saturday, May 15 vendors, sponsors and visitors gathered at the Kemah Boardwalk for a hands-on and unique opportunity to learn a little bit more about Galveston Bay
and to have fun doing it. From the marsh lands to the seafood industry, our bay waters are one of our most precious commodities and teaching folks about protecting and preserving the bay is one of GBF’s primary goals. Listen in as Executive Director Bob Stokes and Volunteer Coordinator Julie Mintzer tell Talk of the Bay about Bay Day and the other environmental events coming up this summer.
