April 10 – Clear Lake Crawfish Festival – Clear Lake
This annual tradition has always been a great crowd draw. This year the weather was a bit wet in the morning but as the weather cleared and the sun came out the crowds came in. And it’s a good thing that they did.
There were 5000 pounds of crawfish being boiled along with gumbo tastings.
The crawfish eating contestants were FAST….I have to admit, I have never seen folks eat mudbugs that quickly! The band was great and folks were having a great time. This is a great family fun event….put it on your calendar for Spring 2011.
