February 20 – Gumbo Cookoff – Seabrook
We had just finished with the Clear Creek Cleanup so we decided to take a little side trip over to Outrigger’s Gumbo Cookoff. We weren’t disappointed; there was some really good gumbo to be had, delicious boudain and of course a few adult beverages. And for you gumbo fans out there; think about this…several of the cookoff
teams served their gumbo over potato salad instead of rice. We tried it and it was pretty darn good, who would of thought???
We’d like to thank our friends at CareFree Boat Club for turning us on to the cookoff…we know you guys enjoyed yourselves.
