–Bike Around The Bay – The Bay Area
With a passion for cycling, Bob Stoke the Executive Director and his
enthusiastic staff at the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) took on the
task of hosting a 2 day bicycle ride around Galveston Bay.
The first ride in 2007 was
very good, in 2008 the ride was cancelled because of Ike and instead the
GBF went into clean up mode. Now in 2009, the ride was back on.
Supported by Lyondellbasell, the ride started in Anahuac and ended at
the Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. This year the ride was even bigger
than the first; nearly 500 riders saddled up for this very scenic two
day trek.

of the second day’s course and our very own Kelly McGuire provides the
entertainment for everyone.
