Nasa, Clear Creek, Friendswood Metro Go Texas Committee – Clear Lake

This metro rodeo committee was started over 40 years ago by Constable Bill Bailey and it is still going strong. Named the #1 committee within the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, this committee is the top fundraiser for the Show.

Five events are hosted by this committee, as fundraisers, for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are awarded to Bay Area high school seniors.

The first event is to recognize the Trail Bosses and Ranch Hands that support the committee; the second event is a culinary evening called the Cowboys and Cowgirls Who Cook featuring local celebrity chefs; third is the overwhelmingly popular fashion show and casino party, slated for Friday January 18, 2008; next is the Trail Riders Dinner and Dance, on February 26 at the Gilruth Center. Finally, is the Bustin’ Bronco Bus trip to the rodeo.
