The BOAT CLUB is a non-profit organization devoted to boating safety while having a lot of fun.  And these members certainly know how to play hard! Poker Runs, Scavenger Hunts and Raftup Parties are just the beginning of their social activities. Friendly, fun loving, these folks know how to enjoy and care for our bay waters. Summer Time - Hilton NASA Clear Lake – Bay Areas

Things are rocking at the Hilton NASA Clear Lake with the Live on the Lake series happening every weekend during the summer. The sun is hot, the drinks are cold, the pool is refreshing, the music is great and people are having a fun time. Texas Mariners Cruising association

The Texas Mariners Cruising Association (TMCA) – Galveston Bay Area

Founded in 1979 the purpose of TMCA is to have fun on land and water. They accomplish this by promoting and hosting cruising, throughout the year, to destinations on Galveston Bay and along the Gulf Coast Waters. Organized cruises may range anywhere from a day cruise, to a weekend trip or up to two weeks in Mexico. The Pump Don’t Dump campaign addresses the issue of illegal sewage discharge into Galveston Bay through targeted outreach and education to boaters. The purpose of the campaign is to decrease the incidence of discharge of boater sewage waste to the Galveston Bay Estuary, particularly Clear Lake that has the third highest concentration of privately owned marinas in the U.S. Listen in with the Talk of the Bay...

Year Round – Armand Bayou Nature Center - Pasadena

If you’re curious how Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) is working to preserve the habitats surrounding Armand Bayou, come out and see for yourself. Enjoy a ride on the Bayou Ranger an electtric pontoon boat or take a guided canoe tour. And if you’d like more information, come and enjoy the special events happening at ABNC every 2nd Saturday of the month. Listen in as Tom Kartrude, tells Talk of the Bay about ABNC and the special things happening around our bayou.

Lyc Blessing of Fleet

April 11 - Lakewood Yacht Club's Blessing of the Fleet - Seabrook

Still keeping with 55 years of tradition, the Blessing of the Fleet was held yesterday at Lakewood Yacht Club.  The club was decorated with red, white and blue ribbons.  Flags lined the walkways, flowers in full bloom and grounds perfectly manicured. Boats washed and waxed and adorned with festive signal flags. Listen in as Commodore Don Rauscher fills Talk of the Bay in with this grand annual event.

The Heart of Sailing foundation is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) international organization which provides a nautical adventure and sailing recreational therapy FREE for cognitively impaired (e.g., Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, etc.) children. Listen to Capt.
