Avengers Take It All!!!
Congratulations to the 8U Avenger VII South elite baseball team, winners of the 2010 USSSA 8U coach pitch state tournament, co-champions of the AAYBA 8U World Series, and Nations Baseball 9U National Champions!
This elite baseball team, comprised of boys from the Houston area, finished the 2010 spring season with an impressive 61-12 record in both 8U coach pitch and 9U kid pitch. The team won first place championships in nine of the fifteen tournaments they entered, winning three kid pitch titles as 8-year-olds.
This past weekend, the boys achieved what seemed to be the impossible, winning a 9U kid pitch national championship as an 8-year-old team. Facing 24 teams made up of 9 and 10-year-olds, the Avengers finished the tournament with an 8-1 record and won the championship game in an astounding 19-1 victory.
