SAIC Employee Recognized As NASA Space Flight Awareness Honoree
Hayden Krueger Recognized for Contributions to Human Space Flight
(HOUSTON) June 24, 2010 – Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today announced that Hayden Krueger, SAIC deputy department manager, was recognized as a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center Space Flight Awareness Honoree during an event at Kennedy Space Center on May 12.
The Space Flight Awareness Honoree award is one of the highest awards presented to NASA and industry, and is presented to employees for their dedication to quality work and flight safety. Recipients must have contributed beyond normal work requirements and have made a significant impact on attaining human space flight goals; contributed to a major cost savings; been instrumental in developing modification to hardware, software, or materials that increase reliability, efficiency, or performance; assisted in operational improvements; or developed beneficial process improvements.
Krueger serves as a deputy manager of the Quality and Flight Equipment Department of SAIC’s Safety and Mission Assurance Support Services Contract, which supports NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Krueger provided outstanding leadership in support of NASA’s Extravehicular Activity, Space Shuttle Program, and International Space Station Program. He served in multiple areas of responsibility in the Safety and Mission Assurance community giving him over 20 years experience in aerospace engineering and technical management. Krueger toured the Kennedy Space Center and attended the STS-132 launch as recognition of his 20 years of outstanding leadership in the area of flight safety. |
