CCISD Announces 2010 Teachers Of The Year
The Clear Creek Independent School District is proud to announce the 2009 – 2010 Teachers of the Year. They were nominated by their peers as representatives of the best of CCISD.
“I am very proud of each of our teachers for demonstrating the Courage, Collaboration, Innovation, and Self-Direction needed to support our 21st century learners,” said Superintendent Dr. Greg Smith. “Their teaching style and ability to engage children in lessons has them taking home more than just homework. Beyond educating students, these teachers have also been identified as a leader on their campus, working collaboratively with co-workers to improve the school culture.”
A team of district administrators will now take on the difficult task of determining six finalists from the list below. A committee of administrators and community representatives will select the Elementary Teacher of the Year and the Secondary Teacher of the Year from those six finalists. All teachers of the year will be honored during a very special luncheon on May 25, 2010 at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center. The luncheon is sponsored by several area Rotary Clubs.
