The Junior League of Galveston County Sustainers Donate $300.00 to Galveston County Adoption Day Foundation – Galveston

The Sustaining members of the Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. presented Judge Jan Yarbrough and the Galveston County Adoption Day Foundation with a check for $300.00 for National Adoption Day. This year the event included finalizing adoptions for up to 25 children who had previously been in the foster care system. The celebration and entertainment took place at Moody Gardens Visitors Center on November 21, 2009, just in time for Thanksgiving.

The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. is an organization of women committed to volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving our local community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
