The Grand 1894 Opera House Resumes Self-Guided Tours - Galveston
Monday, January 18th marks the return of the popular self-guided tours at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston, offering visitors the opportunity to tour a working 115-year-old performing arts theatre, named the “official Opera House of the State of Texas ”. Self-guided tours will be available for $2 per person on Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm.
The Grand will also return to pre-Hurricane Ike sales hours for the box office window in front of the theatre, beginning Monday, January 18th. The box office window will be staffed Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm along with expanded hours prior to and during performances.
The Grand 1894 Opera House is located at 2020 Postoffice Street in Galveston ’s historic downtown Entertainment District.
