12 CCISD SCHOOLS CHOSEN AS TOP PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
League City – The Clear Creek Independent School District is proud to announce 12 campuses have been recognized as part of The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) 2009 Just for the Kids Campaign for Higher Performing Schools in Texas.
The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) is a non-profit, non-partisan ACT organization whose mission is to help K-12 students reach College and Career Readiness. The NCEA analyzed student test results for the past three years as the basis for this year’s ranking of the best public schools in Texas. Elementary students performed better, across all grades, on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test than did their counterparts at other schools around the state. Intermediate schools and high schools made the list because their students’ improvement on the TAKS test was higher than predicted by their previous test scores. The following schools in Clear Creek ISD will be recognized in an upcoming issue of Texas Monthly as some of the best public schools in the state.
