October 10 & 11 –Bike Around The Bay –

With a passion for cycling, Bob Stoke the Executive Director and his
enthusiastic staff at the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) took on the task of
hosting a 2 day bicycle ride around Galveston Bay.
The first ride in 2007 was very good, in 2008 the ride was cancelled because of
Ike and instead the GBF went into clean up mode. Now in 2009, the ride was back
on. Supported by Lyondellbasell, the ride started in Anahuac and ended at the
Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. This year the ride was even bigger than the
first; nearly 500 riders saddled up for this very scenic two day trek.
