RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff – From the Air
November 2-4, 2007
The RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff was 3 days of aviation excitement. More than 10,000
people came out to enjoy live entertainment, hot air balloon races, beautiful
balloon glows, shooting rockets and exciting skydiving exhibitions.
The excitement started very early Friday morning. Hailing from Austin, the
colorful, Texas Twist, piloted by Sam Edwards was one of more than 60 balloons
participating in the races. Sam has 32 years of ballooning experience and is the
1999 Southwestern Regional Champion. Sponsored by the Houston Business Journal,
the Texas Twist took us on an adventure in the sky.
Listen in as Talk of the Bay goes on an exciting balloon ride over Clear
Lake.
Sam, and his wife Jean, offer Champagne Balloon Flights, out of Austin.

The mission of the ballunar festival is to help the public learn about aviation
and to fund educational activities for young people studying aviation and space
through math and science. What better way to accomplish this than through an
exciting 3 day festival. For more information about the RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff
