June 20 – Ladies of Bluegrass – League City
The music was bluegrass, toes were tappin’, hands were clappin’ and the audience
joined in several times. Song themes ranged from gospel to hogs getting stuck in
tanks of moonshine. And all the while, the ladies of bluegrass performed for an
audience of folks coming from all parts of the state. Meanwhile there were at
least a dozen other jam sessions going on in the back rooms. Bluegrass music was
everywhere!
The headliners included Angie Beauboeuf of White Dove, Lou Lou Barber of Wabash
Ramblers, and The Texas Harmony Honeys.
Listen in as a couple of the folks from the Bay Area Bluegrass Association
(BABA)
tell Talk of
the Bay about this special concert and Angie Beauboeuf gives
a little background regarding her career.
