Close to 1000 cyclists gathered up in Fort Anahuac Park early Saturday morning for the annual Bike Around The Bay. An organized bike ride with full sag support, water stations and great scenery has become a favorite amongst the two wheeler crowd. Hosted by the Galveston Bay Foundation (GBF) this 150 mile bike ride is a fund raiser for GBF to assist in the support of Galveston Bay.
At the end of the first day, the riders enjoyed a great meal and an overnight stay at the Hilton in Galveston. Sunday morning brought another early start with cyclists traveling over the Causeway bridge, through Kemah and heading back to Baytown over the Hartman bridge.
