Kim Christensen – Kim Christensen Photography
After graduating from SMU with a major in Journalism and a minor in Art, Kim Christensen began to pursue her career in photojournalism covering features, news, photo stories, sports and portraits. She has worked at several newspapers with the last stop being the Houston Chronicle.
Kim has won awards from the Associated Press Managing Editors, Texas Press Association and Texas Headliners. When covering an assignment Kim dedicates all her energy and passion with the utmost professionalism to visually tell the story with her vision through the lens of her camera.
Covering the assignment is a privilege, and Kim focuses on the detail of her photography not only via capturing the standard event, but also creating a record of the significant moment. The photographs become an archive allowing others to view the images of how the photo assignment transpired. This mother of three resides in a suburb of Houston with two dogs and way too many cats.
