April 17 - Houston to Ft. Hood ride 36 th ID/72ND IBCT
PURPOSE: Honor the members of the 36th Infantry Division/ 72nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Texas Army National Guard. Currently, 3500 Texans are currently serving in Iraq!
WHAT: Autos, trucks, vans, etc. will join motorcycles from the greater Houston area to travel from Houston to Ft. Hood. following the Texas 36th InfantryDivision Memorial Highway along the hilly, wildflower covered route.
Tour base museum, and visit the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) at Darnall Army Medical Center.
Participants are welcome to join all or part of the ride.
Overnight accommodations are limited and available at a state rate of $85.00 each.
