Real Living: Winterize Now Before It’s Too Late

Speaking of procrastination (See GETTING REAL article: Do the Work), some of us may have yet to winterize our homes. We’re not to the coldest times of the year but we’re in the midst of a pretty cold, cold-snap. It’s better to get it done now as opposed to be sorry later.
Winterizing a home is a fact of real living in a home. And your home and its value will thank you for years to come for the maintenance and care you give it through the seasons.

A couple of weeks ago I set out with a desire to write about change - about what changes lives. Change, of course, can be perceived as good, or bad, depending on how you look at it. Personally I like to look through the bad, to the good.
This week I continue the dialogue about change with an article in GETTING REAL about the debt issues and economic situation we find ourselves in. My hope is that it can provide a different perspective about what is going on in our country - one that may make a difference in your day, as opposed to the bleak picture often painted in the media.
Bottom line is that there is positive in any situation. If you look for it, you will find it.

The National Association of Home Builder’s Monday Morning Briefing e-newsletter and an article about the debit issues said this: “Meanwhile, the dispute over how to raise the debt ceiling is occurring in an environment full of housing policy debates, including the mortgage interest deduction, the expiration of conforming loan limits and proposed qualified residential mortgage regulations which would mandate minimum 20% down payments.” This statement is true.
