KHOU - TV's
Matt Musil to Speak at "Kick-off by the Creek"
The League City Chamber of Commerce will host their first annual "Kick
Off by the Creek" luncheon September 10th from 11:00am until 1:00pm at
South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center.
This is a first ever community "pep rally" and "roast" for the Clear
Creek ISD and Dickinson ISD High school football teams and their
coaches. With the motto "two districts, five teams and a dream", the
chamber is asking the community to show their support and send them off
to a winning season.
Galveston County Judge Jim Yarbrough will emcee this exciting event.
Matt Musil, sports reporter and backup sports anchor for KHOU-TV
(Channel 11) will share his words of wisdom of the sports world as the
keynote speaker for the event.
Luncheon attendees will include League City Chamber members as well as
CCISD and DDISD administrators, faculty, staff, and booster club
parents. The audience will enjoy stories about last season from each of
the five coaches including Dickinson's Warren Trahan, Clear Creek's
Darrell Warden, Clint Hartman from Clear Springs, Paul Lanier from Clear
Brook and Clear Lake's Troy Aduddell. After listening to each coach,
Judge Yarbrough and Matt Musial will present the "crying towel" award!
Let’s show our community support by sending this year's coaches off to a
winning season with a sell-out crowd on September 10. Sponsorships,
corporate tables and exhibit booths are still available. Advanced
tickets are required and can be purchased by calling 281-338-7339 or
online at http://www.leaguecitychamber.com.
Please Note: This special event will replace the September Membership
Luncheon.
